lakes! With 2,380 miles of shoreline and 160,000 acres of
water. Ah-h-h-h....The gentle lap of the waves, the splendor of
a virtually untouched eastern shoreline bursting into an array
of fall colors, the magnificent sunrises and sunsets, and
impressive stringers of slab crappie, catfish, blue gill,
white bass, sauger, and of course...bass. Record catches of
largemouth and small mouth can be had right here. An outdoor
paradise located in the heart of America. For the professional
angler to the novice, spring and fall offer the very best in
fishing.
Locally owned and operated bait and tackle stores can give you
the latest information and fishing tips to ensure an enjoyable
fishing experience. First time on Kentucky Lake? Professional
guides are available to take you out and show you exactly what
to do and where to go. With 160,000 acres of water, investing
in a guide on your first day here will ensure that your visit
to the lake's area is a huge success. Fishing continues
throughout the summer with blue gill and stripes being the
hottest species. The warmth of summer brings water activities
to an all time high. Drag boat races and open regattas are
scheduled throughout the year.
Boating,
skiing, swimming and personal water crafts are a great source
of recreation and entertainment in the summer months.
Accommodations
are very diversified around the lake. From a waterfront cabin
nestled in the woods to motel/hotel rooms within minutes of
the lake.
Camping
can also be done at all of our 14 campgrounds with the same
diversification.

museums, shopping, skating, horseback riding and self tours of
Kentucky Dam. The Land Between the Lakes also offers the
Nature Station, The Homeplace-1850's, planetarium and the
latest addition, The Elk and Bison Range. With as many
attractions as this area has to offer, you'll be sure to find
something for the whole family to enjoy.

Land Between the Lakes, etched along the eastern boundary of
beautiful Kentucky Lake offers numerous outdoor activities
including camping, fishing, ATV's, horseback riding,
hiking, biking,
and the viewing of numerous species of wildlife native to this
area.
This area boasts several Golf
Courses ranging from Par 3 to Championship. Many of
the area's resorts and motels offer reasonable golf packages
throughout the year to avid golfers.
